I love Morgan Freeman. When I heard his voice on a recent Visa commercial, I got all excited because he said “Vancouver 2010 Olympics.” Morgan Freeman said Vancouver! That’s where I grew up!

Dearest Allison! You are totally fair in your criticisms of the TTC. But, compared to cities like Victoria and Saskatoon where public transportation is seriously lacking (albeit due to much smaller populations and even smaller budgets), getting to make use of subway trains and streetcars that come every 5-10 minutes is pretty thrilling to me. But fair enough, I’m sure I will come to have my fair share of criticisms once I’m a resident of your fine city. PS. Let’s hang out when I get there!

I hadn’t heard of this band until my friend Tony posted this video he helped make with them. It’s a pretty nice song and a lovely video too, especially the last bit on the bus. Tony also made this documentary.

This is my front door. This wreath was made by my lovely dearest friend Rachel. (That is the only internet presence Rachel has. She is not on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, or Ravelry, and she does not blog. Despite this, we are still the best of friends. You can see lots of photos of her on my Flickr.)

She made the wreath in Montreal and gave it to me last Christmas when we were both back in Saskatoon and it was one of my pieces of carry-on luggage on the way back home to Victoria. This wreath has some serious mileage on it.
